About the puppeteers
Michelle has been performing in children’s theatre and puppetry for over 30 years. She has worked at the Science Center and produced and performed science based puppet shows which were used for Scout programs, summer camps and at the St. Louis Public Schools. She recently won a training scholarship to the Puppeteers of America 2011 National Convention in Atlanta, Georgia.
Stan has been performing for five years and has won training scholarships including the PuppetFest Midwest and Puppeteers of America. While Stan is an accomplished puppeteer, he is also the Production Manager for Peppy Puppet Troupe. He builds the puppets, stages, props, and coordinates all the sound and lighting.
Michelle and Stan have performed at the Puppetry Arts Institute (KC), St Charles and St Louis Co. Libraries, St. Louis Mills Mall, Faust Park Carousel, Missouri History Museum, Powder Valley Nature Center, Chesterfield Rotary Club, area VFW Halls, City Museum, Schools, churches, birthday parties, festivals and many other venues.
Peppy Puppet Troupe has recently been approved by the nationally accredited Springboard to Learning Program. Their Springboard puppet shows emphasize science based curriculum and DESE guidelines and include study guides. Peppy Puppet Troupe puppeteers are members of the Puppet Guild of Greater St. Louis & Puppeteers of America. All performers have had state and federal background checks.
